I also got an Amazon gift card, and if you know me, you know I'll use it for doll stuff!

Happy Holidays 2016!

Hey, everyone!

I know I haven't been posting much lately because I've been so busy with school, but I wanted to stop by to wish all my fans and friends a very merry Christmas, or Hanukah, or whatever else you celebrate. And in case I don't get around to posting again before then, happy new year too!

Smiles, Lissie

P.S. Have you seen the latest leaks of Gabby and her collection? Underwhelmed...

Playtime with the WellieWishers! - A photostory

I needed to take a picture to enter AmericanGirlFan's holiday photo contest. And I ended up with a whole photostory with those adorable Wellies! Enjoy!

"I'll buy that brick from you," Willa offered. "But not for ten studs. How about seven?"
 "Okay," said Emerson, counting bricks.
 "Deal!"
Willa smiled at her minifigure and stood it on the brick.

Willa and Emerson were playing with their LEGO.
They had been planning to follow a manual and build the building it described, but somehow the game had morphed into a brick-trading adventure over the building's foundation.
Willa was about to make her minifigure make another offer when a pair of large, mismatched, fuzzy-socked feet came up.
 "Hey, girls," said Lissie.
 "Hi, Mommy!"
"Girls, can you sort the laundry for me?"
"Okay."
As soon as Lissie left, Willa looked at the laundry pile, her hazel eyes glowing.
And then she began to pull out clothes.
"Dress-up in the 18-inchers' stuff!" She pulled on their new sneakers over her birdie slippers.
 Emmie grinned...
And soon they were all dressed up! Willa wore their sneakers and parrot romper while Emerson donned a sundress and snow mittens.
 "This is fun!"
(Lissie's note: Isn't Willa just adorable in Lea's pajamas?)
"I wish Aunt Miranda could see me in these!" Willa remarked.
"We could draw a picture," Emerson suggested.
"Okay! And we'll send it to Aunt Miranda for a Christmas present!"
So they got out the markers and a piece of paper.
 "Let's color!"

"What are those greenish lumps on your head?" Emerson asked when Willa stopped drawing.
"My bunny ears!"
"Oh, right! Now let me draw me!"

 The final drawing was adorable!

 "Merry Christmas, Aunt Miranda!"

For my entry for the contest, I went with the above picture, but with some minor edits:

Thanks for reading!

Happy Thanksgiving 2016!

Hi everybody!

It's been a busy couple of months, so it's great to take a break for Thanksgiving. And of course, a great way to celebrate a holiday is to have a photoshoot!

So the whole gang dressed up and headed outside for a family photo.

 Willa's such a cutie!
The fall foliage is gorgeous here, so I let the dollies play in the leaves for a few more pictures.

 Look at those colors!
The minis love playing in leaves, especially when the leaves are almost as big as they are!
They tried to hide... can you find them?
MG's dress isn't hard to spot...
 And Kirsten's face...
But Molly is trickier! There's a bit of her sweater sleeve!
Those leaves make great photo backdrops!
 Now it's the Wellies' turn!

Some people don't like that their eyes don't  close, but it does mean that they can do things like lie in the leaves and look at the sky.

Willa peered through a hole in a bug-eaten leaf.
Happy Thanksgiving from the whole gang here at Doll Stories! We hope you get to spend lots of time with family and eat some tasty food.
